You've tasted the restaurant's classic Mama Amelia's empanadas before, now Cuba Libre is giving you the opportunity to learn how to fill, bake and most importantly eat your very own empanada creations. Attendees will make and eat three to five different kinds of empanadas, enjoy complimentary tapas and mojitos while participating in the hands-on empanada making class, led by our Executive Chef Jose Gonzalez.
The interactive class is designed to give participants a full understanding of the empanada-making process from start to finish, including: how to make the dough, prepare the filling and cook these delectable little pockets of Latin flavor. Guests will learn the history behind our signature empanadas (who IS Mama Amelia, anyway?) as well as a brief background on Cuban culture, cuisine and cocktails. And what event at Cuba Libre is complete without a few mojitos? Guests will also learn how to mix their own mojitos in a fun mojito making lesson with our bartender.
